Our kitchen at Chimney Gill Cottage is one of our favourite rooms. It is the perfect size to cater for large groups and families and we’ve made sure it is like a home away from home.
The kitchen itself comes fully equipped with cooking utensils, a fridge freezer, electric oven and hob and even a dishwasher (because let’s face it, nobody wants to do dishes on holiday!).
Our Welcome Pack means you have all the basics ready for when you arrive (plus a few surprises!) so you won’t be stuck. However, our cupboards aren’t fully stocked so if you are planning some homemade food and picnic lunches, make sure you bring with your shopping with you. After a day of exploring the Cumbrian countryside and the activities it has to offer, coming back to Chimney Gill cottage for a home-cooked meal is just bliss. But what is one step better than that? A home cooked meal that is made for you!
We know that when you are on your holidays, the last thing you want to do is cook but sometimes all you want to do is chill out in the comfort of your holiday home. We can help you to organise caterers to come into the Cottage and do the cooking for you! So your still getting great, homemade food but with none of the work (or washing up!).
We’ve found this is a great option for larger parties or groups with young children who can’t, or don’t want to go out. If this is something you’d be interested in finding out more about, including costs and menus, feel free to get in touch and we can help to make the necessary arrangements.
However you plan on dining at Chimney Gill Cottage, our kitchen is fully equipped to meet your needs, whether it is for breakfast only, preparing picnic lunches to full blown dinners or just to lay out some drinks and nibbles. And if there is something missing, we live on the farm where Chimney Gill Cottage is situated so you only need to pick up the phone and ask and we would be more than happy to help.
