Chimney Gill Cottage is on a working farm in the unspoilt countryside of Cumbria. Situated close to the Lake District, Chimney Gill Cottage can be found in arguably one of the most beautiful areas of Britain with breath taking scenery and delightful country walks – all on our doorstep.
Our location means that although we are surrounded by acres of land, we are also well connected to local towns and villages making Chimney Gill the perfect base to discover what Cumbria and the Lake District has to offer.
2. Welcome Pack
There is nothing worse than reaching your destination after hours of travelling and realising you forgot to pick up the teabags! Although we are a self-catering holiday home, we include a Welcome Pack for all our guests – it is our way of saying thank you for coming to stay at Chimney Gill Cottage. We have received lots of compliments about our Welcome Pack (see TripAdvisor) but we won’t tell you what is included – you will need to come and stay to see for yourself!
3. Our Home is Your Home
We have worked hard to make sure Chimney Gill Cottage is a home from home. We have tried to ensure you have everything you could possibly need in our self-catering cottage as well as adding home touches to décor, bedrooms and the living area. In addition, all guests receive complimentary passes to North Lakes Hotel & Spa in Penrith too – our aim is to provide a homely atmosphere but with the perks you would expect on holiday!
4. Tempting Extras
Regardless of your reason for visiting Chimney Gill Cottage, we have made it our priority to ensure our guests’ time with us is special. You can easily request for flowers, chocolates and wine to be waiting on your arrival.
Our location means our guests have easy access to local restaurants and pubs. However, if you want a chef cooked meal in the comfort of Chimney Gill Cottage, we have a range of caterers who can come to you and do the cooking for you! Whatever your requirement, we have plenty of options to choose from.

We have been fortunate enough to meet a wide range of guests at Chimney Gill Cottage, all who have been fantastic.
